When the world was young and fair,
It’s said there was an ultimate dare.
Dialga spoke to Palkia, “Hey!
How long can you hold your breath? All day?
I bet you can’t hold your breath
Longer than I before your death.”
Palkia countered, “This is a trick.
You can warp time, I’m not so thick.
You’ll stretch one second to you one day.
I won’t fall for that! No way!”
Dialga promised, “No tricks here,
I’ll not warp time, my conscious is clear.
I dare you just one hour, not more,
Hold your breath, if you’re not so poor.”
And so its breath did Palkia hold;
Neither realized the dangers unfold.
Every breath that Palkia took
Stabilized space, yes, every nook,
But as it took no breath in
Space destabilized; ’twas fin.
Distance collapsed, twisted space
Opened portals to every place.
Ultra Beasts began to flood
into the world seeking blood.
When Giratina saw this horrible scare
It burrowed in its world, it didn’t care.
But Arceus saw this and was done,
It shouted and kicked its naughty sons.
It ordered Dialga and Palkia now
To fix the mess that they’d allowed.
To save the world from Guzzlord, the glutton,
Dialga hit the rewind button.
Palkia began to breathe a lot;
Fogged up the windows; stability brought.
Did they learn their lesson? Hardly at all;
Next day Palkia dared Dialga’s heart rate to fall.
