New! Wandering Fortunes Chapter 20: To the Ends of Zhop

Here we are, chapter 20 of Wandering Fortunes, the longest chapter in the novel so far and the end of part 1! Alden and his friends have to flee Zhop from the Zhopian Guard. They get what family they can and make a great escape–or at least an adequate escape–well, I certainly hope it’s adequate. With the way things look, they might need a leg up–but the Zhopian Guard might even shoot that leg off! The jerks. I don’t even know if they’ll make it…

Of course, you can find out more about what will happen sooner, you can give to my Patreon or make a one-time Ko-fi donation. You’ll get to read chapters early and pretty much find out more about what I’ll be posting for the next rest of the year.

Wandering Fortunes Chapter 19: Homesickening

Here it is. Chapter 19. Ropak, Alden, and Top return home one last time. The Zhopian Guard is after them, they have to leave the planet, and they want to see their families one last time.

And then Ropak sees something horrible.

And then Ropak does something horrible.

This is probably the darkest chapter I’ve yet done. This is the one where everything is sad.

New Wandering Fortunes chapter up! Chapter 10: A Place for the Placeless

Here’s chapter ten of Wandering Fortunes! This brings us to the end of the first quarter of this story and about halfway through the first part. This chapter introduces a lot of new friends! With a place to stay found in New Zhopolis, Alden, Top, and Ropak meet their new housemates. Some ignore them, some are enthusiastic, and some are mysterious. Also, one of them says memes. You’ve been warned.

As it turns out, three of the characters introduced in this chapter are inspired by characters of my friends Paperlanty, Devon, and Darvo “Cthulhuigi” Prower. (Sheesh.) Try to guess which ones! Or don’t. I can’t tell you what to do.

Also something new with this chapter is a new design for the chats between Duth and Wally. Instead of having their name followed by a colon and then what they say, their text is on a separate paragraph. Not sure how good it looks online, but it looks a lot better in regular text.

Final work on completing Darmenzi has begun. It’ll still be a little while before I’m done, but I’m hoping to be able to release this book in December. You know, so people can buy it for Clichemas. Obviously. As a reminder, not only do patrons of my Patreon get the serialized chapters half a month early, but when Darmenzi releases you’ll get a copy of the ebook. Not only that, but if you give $3 or more you’ll receive a copy of the ebook a whole month in advance! Then you can see how amazingly it has improved from what I posted online last year.

Wandering Fortunes update Chapter 5: Wonder of Fortune

Wonderful! The fifth chapter of Wandering Fortunes is here, and it introduces our third main character, Ropak! It is he who sets off the story’s main events, and it is he who introduces us to the story’s second species, the wrallot. I’m excited to finally get Ropak into the open so we now have our three main characters for Wondering Fortunes. Let the good times roll! For us, anyway. For our characters, ehhh…

Don’t forget that patrons of $3+ get to read chapters early. Chapter 6 will be available for them in mid-May!

I also should have some Darmenzi news soon. For reals this time!

I’m also working one everything oh gourd I’m so busy what if I just play video games for several hours instead

Wandering Fortunes Chapter 3: Homed Out, now available

Now available on DVD and Blu-Ray

Wandering Fortunes Chapter 3 is up, wherein Top quits and then retires to a good home on a farm upstate. There’s also some politics with the Micagox. But obviously as always the highlight is Top’s spouting nonsense. They request maternity leave at one point?

As always my Patreon is Patreonning, or whatever, with previews and peeks and what I’m working on now and early chapters. Chapter 4 will be there in just a couple weeks. Top becomes a housewife! (They don’t become a housewife.)

It’s Christmas! Is a Post ‘Bout My Holiday Cliché? It’s Clichemas time! Oh Boy! Hooray!

Today is Christmas, or as they say in my brain, Clichemas. What is Clichemas, you ask? The most cliché day of the whole year! But I’ll tell you about that later. Much later. For now, let’s take a quick look at the results of this day.

1 - Dt5ANky

Our tree fell over. Well, our house fell over. Well, actually, I just took the picture sideways and don’t feel like righting it. I took these pictures with the 3DS, so they’re all kind of horrible quality. But that’s what Clichemas is all about! Or… so I assume. I haven’t worked out all the details yet.

So what did I get on this day? I got a mug full of antidote.

2 - ehckY8d

In more activity-related news, I got games and books. Books and games!

4 - moTCSss

And you may have noticed something in the corner of that picture. I got a Homestuck.

3 - XH2nxax

Anyway, shirts. I got another shirt about being lazy. It’s like a theme with me?

7 - qffoOCl

And finally, more Dinosaur Comics and Homestuck.

5 - i12ZnHN

The one on the left is a Hero of Time shirt… because I’m a Hero of Time. Probably?? But they were actually too small so my brother’s going to send ’em back to get bigger sizes. But, hey, you know what they say…

6 - FaWfcAv

“oh well”

And, of course, today we went off to meet with relatives and stuff. This. This is what Clichemas is truly all about: going out to meet with family whom you have no idea who they are.

8sh27QZ

Seriously. I do not actually know who this guy was. My only guess is an uncle-in-law.

Hmm. Putting his picture on the internet without his permission or knowledge may not be the best idea.

But best ideas are not what Clichemas is all about.

Now if you excuse me, I think I just heard the Christmas tree fall down in the other room.
