New! Wandering Fortunes Chapter 20: To the Ends of Zhop

Here we are, chapter 20 of Wandering Fortunes, the longest chapter in the novel so far and the end of part 1! Alden and his friends have to flee Zhop from the Zhopian Guard. They get what family they can and make a great escape–or at least an adequate escape–well, I certainly hope it’s adequate. With the way things look, they might need a leg up–but the Zhopian Guard might even shoot that leg off! The jerks. I don’t even know if they’ll make it…

Of course, you can find out more about what will happen sooner, you can give to my Patreon or make a one-time Ko-fi donation. You’ll get to read chapters early and pretty much find out more about what I’ll be posting for the next rest of the year.

Preview of Darmenzi chapter 1 and pre-orders are a go!

The preview of the final version of the first chapter of Darmenzi is now up to read. You can see just how much three years improves! Our protagonists and their home is introduced, and a new challenger approaches.

And excellent news as well in that the pre-orders are now live, I believe! You can pre-order the book on Barnes & Noble, iTunes, or Kobo!

Though as usual if you give money to my Patreon you’ll not only get the book but you can get the book and read it before everyone else! You can also get other cool things through that. Like the warm knowledge that you’re helping a writer survive??

Tomorrow we’ll take a break from all this Darmenzi news though with the posting of a very special story. It will be special, and very, and story. See you then!

New Wandering Fortunes chapter a day early!

It’s the spooky day of Halloween, so let’s have a new Wandering Fortunes chapter a day early with the frightening prospect of singing oh no! Oh, there’s also horrible monstrous abominations, too. Chapter 11: Traveling Down Terrible Lane. Will they get out of this one? Will they find a job? Will Top pick up a new instrument?

By the way, having a chapter of scary monsters on Halloween was not planned. This was a coincidence. A scary coincidence!

Speaking of scary, I really hope to have news on the final release of Darmenzi in November. I’m hoping to have that news before the month is half over, at that. Regardless, those who give to my Patreon at $3/month will get to read the final book a month early, so that’s cool! A free copy a month early, at that. Anyone giving at any level gets a free copy when it releases. Also, patrons can learn more about the Schalindras later today when I post a profile on them. Plus you’ll get to read chapter 12 half a month early, in mid-November! So what are you waiting for? Begging? Because that seems like jumping the shark. What? You now want me to beg while jumping a shark? … i’ll think about it

Darmenzi Chapter 15: Abandoned Electric Isle now available

Duth_Olec: Hey, you try coming up for good designs for elemental guardian thingies that aren’t actually elemental. I mean, that is to say, whatever brought these guardians into being was probably amazing and smart and at least passable in looks.

Chapter 15: Abandoned Electric Isle

Chapter 15 now available, featuring a mysterious island and a bunch of electricity everywhere. It’s dangerous and weird and definitely not my fault.

With this chapter we are 3/4 through Darmenzi! The end of the year will see the finish of this story. The actual release of the novel, well, who knows?

Darmenzi Chapter 13 now up

Oh, um, er, eh, April Fool’s! Yes, it was totally intentional that I didn’t post the new chapter yesterday. ha ha ha ha hahahahahaHAHAHAHAHA HA HA HA HA HA. HA. HA. HA. HA.

ha

So here’s chapter 13 of Darmenzi, Aquasphere. It features water and a brief discussion of anime and was rather significantly edited a few years ago after I played the demo of a little game called Undertale, maybe you’ve heard of it.

I’ve had about 5 hours of sleep now so I need a nap. Mention of Patreon, which I think I just discovered every post I’ve made announcing new chapters up have only been available to patrons?? I like don’t even know. I’m confused now. Gee, what else is new?

Excerpt from Slubes new edition

If you may recall from near a year ago when I started posting Darmenzi chapters, the occasional interruption of Duth Olec (and Wally Plotch’s responses) in the story has been redesigned so that it is easier to understand, now being in the form of something like a chat log. As Darmenzi began with this, and the old Slubes began with an introduction by Wally and Duth, the new Slubes begins with Wally trying to figure out what he’s doing and Duth being me.
